The Price We Pay is a tense British crime short film written by Daniel Widger, set over one night after a supposedly quiet jewellery robbery spirals violently out of control.

When getaway driver Ryan Cole waits outside a South London jewellers, the job should be simple: in, out, disappear. But when panic takes over inside the shop, a split-second decision turns a clean robbery into something far more dangerous. As the crew flee through the city with stolen gold and sirens closing in, paranoia, greed and blame begin to tear them apart from the inside.

Trapped between loyalty and survival, Ryan is forced to stay calm while the people around him unravel. What starts as a payday quickly becomes a brutal lesson in consequence, where every choice carries a cost and getting away does not mean getting free.
